Portable & mobile storage containers are for example, PODS, PackRat or U-Box by Uhaul. Moving storage containers are handy for when you transition from one location to another. They can be dropped off to your home or office. Moving storage containers are loaded with household goods or office furniture and are shipped anywhere around the US. They can also be conveniently stored at a storage warehouse for however long you need storage. This is useful for when you are not quite ready to have your items delivered to be unloaded. Also, Small Time Moving is affiliated with U-Haul's Moving Help. We are very familiar with U-Haul's U-Boxes. We can locally deliver your U-Box and load your moving container tight for your long distance move!
There are moving options for long distance moving. You are not just limited to big moving carriers or freight moving companies. There are a couple of different ways to go about doing a long distance moving.
Rental Truck: The DIY Long Distance Moving
One way to do a long distance move is to do a "DIY (Do It Yourself) moving". Rental trucks are used in this process. A moving truck can be rented from Penske, Budget Truck Rental or U-Haul. This option is ideal if you want to be "the boss of your own move" or have full control. Typically, when we are hired to do a long distance move, Small Time Moving does the labor work of doing the packing, disassembling of beds, wrapping of furniture, loading and securing everything for the long haul. Often, the customer chooses to not drive their own rental truck across country. Customers use Small Time Moving's best experienced drivers to drive the rental truck safely across country to its final destination to be unloaded.
